Sophia Aizin (she/her) is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist (#023857) who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. Sophia is passionate about bringing a warm and collaborative approach in her work with clients. In addition to private practice, Sophia works as a School Psychologist at a therapeutic, independent high school in Manhattan. She currently serves as an adjunct clinical supervisor at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology.
Sophia obtained her doctorate from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University in the School-Clinical Child Psychology program. She completed her APA-Accredited pre-doctoral internship and post- doctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Sophia has specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. In her practice, Sophia strives to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual.
Sophia has worked with patients in a variety of settings, including schools, community based mental health clinics, outpatient hospital settings, day treatment programs, and inpatient hospitals.
