How do I get started with therapy and get more information?
The first step in starting therapy with me is to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. This call gives you a chance to share a little more about what brings you to therapy at this time and for me to share more with you about my practice, as well as answer any questions you may have. What can I expect in my first session?
Individual sessions are typically 45 minutes. For the first session we will meet for 60 minutes to discuss in more detail what brings you to therapy and to discuss what current struggles you are having at this time. If it is your child or adolescent who is in need of treatment, we will discuss your child’s history and current difficulties in the first session.
How much do you charge and do you accept insurance?
Session fees range depending on your need and we will discuss fees during our consultation call. I am an out of network provider, meaning that I do not directly contract with insurance plans. I encourage you to inquire with your insurance policy about out-of-network benefits. If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance company will likely reimburse you for psychotherapy. I will provide an invoice each month containing all the information required to process your claim. Payment is expected at each session and is collected through a HIPAA compliant platform.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel an appointment, I ask that you cancel twenty-four (24) hours in advance, otherwise you are responsible for the full session fee. If you cancel within less than 24 hours and we are able to reschedule your session for the same week, you will not be charged for a cancelled session.
